Personal Energy and self-hypnosis

Energy, it’s everywhere
Energy. Like our personal energy, it’s all around us. In the trees, the clouds, the seas, the breeze. In nature and most living things, energy vibrates according to its own ‘pre-set’ rhythms. Our fellow mammals’ personal energy vibrates according to their natural instincts. A dog or cat behave and express their feelings in predictable ways. Horses and cows, individual personalities aside, behave in predictable ways too. its and mice, birds and bees, flowers and trees – all follow preset patterns seemingly beyond their own control.
Among earthly creation, we humans are in the unique position to be able to exert some level of control over the personal energy we exude. But, mostly we don’t.
Your personal energy, understand your emotional state
To some extent, we can understand our emotional state of being if we stop long enough to think about it. We can laugh at another’s joke even though we may not think it particularly funny. We may laugh to make them feel accepted rather than rejected on account of their simple joke or failure to tell it properly. We can try to make ourselves feel happy when we feel sad; we may do this by ‘cheering ourselves up’. For some, this means retail therapy. For others, it may mean taking in a movie. If we feel grumpy, we can try to ‘get over it’: or carry on being grumpy to let others know we are not happy. Sometimes we cannot ‘get over it’ despite knowing we should make more of an effort to do so.
We exude our own brand of personal energy. And we do have control over it – if we make sufficient effort to get a grip on our inner state. Being exposed to depressed or troubled people with low-rate personal energy tends to rub off on us. We risk falling into the same trap as they are in.
Surround yourself with people who are going to lift you higher
Conversely, being in the midst of energetic, uplifting people also rubs off. Mostly. Except in the case of severely depressed individuals who may feel worse surrounded by ‘positive’ people. Our thinking follows patterns like ruts in the ground. The deeper the rut, the harder it is to get out of it. We may not even realise we are in a rut. The fact is we are all in ruts of various kinds. These ruts determine and define how we see the world. We could get easily lost if we get out of our ruts and onto the open ground with no ruts. Some of our ruts or patterns of behaviour are beneficial and we would be lost without them. Others are damaging and do not serve us. Oh, to be discerning enough to understand which is which and disciplined enough to do something about it.
Hypnotherapy offers a solution for some people in the predicament of being stuck in worthless ruts that lead to nowhere – or worse, to a negative outcome. Visit the NO Tree on this website to see those qualities that lead nowhere or to destruction. See if you can identify a time when you displayed any of these negative qualities.
The good news about hypnotherapy is that you can learn to use self-hypnosis by applying the exercises taught in Mind-Skill, start reading the Free Introductory Mind-Skill eBook as a first step. It may take a little longer than undergoing conventional hypnotherapy but you will get to where you want to be, with patience and application. And the results will be lasting.
